There are free showers at various beaches in Koksijde.

These beach showers are placed annually in early May and again removed from the beach at the end of September.

Biking on beach is forbidden by the municipality Koksijde.

Het is in Koksijde verboden vanaf het strand te hengelen in zee in de bewaakte zone tijdens de uren dat baden en zwemmen in zee toegelaten is.

You can rent chairs, windbreakers and umbrellas at various beach pavilions in Koksijde.

Your dog is allowed on the beach. However, there is one exception: from 1 June to 15 September, dogs are only allowed in three dog zones between 10.30 am and 6.30 pm.

1. Sint-Idesbald: from the municipal border with De Panne to the Pieterlaan (approx. 350 metres),
2. Koksijde: between Elisabethplein and Sint-André (G. Scottlaan) (approx. 1,170 metres),
3. Oostduinkerke: between Felix Timmermanslaan and Paardevissersweg (Groenendijk) (approx. 1,625 metres).

The zones are marked on-site and can also be found in the brochure which you can download from the official Municipality of Koksijde website.

Further, we also recommend reading the information board, with the local beach rules, which is often placed near every beach (entrance).

Nearest beach for dogs at Koksijde

Leashed dogs are allowed all year:

• from beach Bettystraat in the direction Oostduinkerke;
• from beach Lucionplein in the direction De Panne.

Bredene is the first and only Belgian coastal town with a nude beach.
